Being Out Of Your "Groove"

I talked a little bit on my story the other day about how I haven’t been feeling my workouts lately. AKA- Being out of my groove. 🤷🏼‍♀️

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

First off, it happens to e.v.e.r.y.o.n.e. I don’t know a single person that is motivated + gung-ho all the time. That includes myself. 🙋🏼‍♀️

But how do you get yourself out of the rut?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

➖ Acknowledge that you've been out of it + stop there. Don't beat yourself up. Don't go down that rabbit hole. It's not worth it.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

➖ Ask yourself, "How much time do you realistically have every day to dedicate to exercising? Does that change depending on the day?" For me Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday's are pretty busy for me. It's not realistic for me to say I'm going to exercise for an hour after work. So, on those days I give myself 45 min. in the morning before my day starts. That's my me time. I'm going to crush my workouts & move on with my day. Wednesday's are much slower so I'm going to dedicate that day as my longer cardio session. Weekends will depend on how I feel/what's going on + that's realistic for me.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

➖ Now that we have expectations it's time to lay out a plan. You can either do that yourself in the notes section of your phone or work with a coach to lay out a plan for you. Keep it simple + attainable. Even if that means you're doing the same workout routine for a couple weeks. Build consistency to get the momentum rolling again.
